Clark,July 4,1805
In Clark's journal entry on July 4,1805 he wrote about how there was heavy dew the night before and how it rained. He also talked about how he was afraid that an accident might happen and how the climate in the Missouri was singular cloudy and the clouds came in every direction. He explained the landscapes and the type of weather that was present in Missouri that day.

Lewis and Clark
In Lewis' journal entry on May 5, 1806 he wrote about how he set out at 7 in the morning to get to Kooskooske. As they got there, they saw families, obtained dogs, and got some root bread, and dryed roots. He also explained that him and Clark went by an Indian man and they exchanged different things. The Indians invited them over for dinner and the man served Lewis and dog. He then took the dog and threw it at threw it at his breast and face then tomahawked him. After the dinner Lewis and Clark both set out to Colter's creek again meeting another family. Neither of the men didn't have anything to exchange with the family so they couldn't get in everything in return. The night resulted in Lewis and Clark talking to the families and meeting a man who did a good service to them and gave him their address.

In Clark's journal entry on September 12, 1806 he wrote about how in the morning they set out at sunrise with a French man who accompanied them. He also wrote about men that they found along their journey throughout the day including 10-12 chiefs and they then took out two canoes to hunt with five hunters in the canoes. They continued in the canoes all night knowing it would be wet and cloudy.

War of 1812

The War of 1812 was a conflict between the United States of America and Britain. The United States declared war on June 18, 1812 because of trade restrictions, the impressment of American merchant sailors into the Royal Navy, and British support of Indian tribes against American expansion. First

the British blockaded the Atlantic Coast of the U.S., then naval battles were fought, and finally more battles on land were fought between the British and United States. The United States defeated the British alliances and the outcome of the war resulted in both Britain and the United States signing the Treaty of Ghent which was signed on December 24, 1814. The Treaty of Ghent was a peace treaty that restored the borders of the two countries.

The Star Spangled Banner
On September 14,1814 soldiers raised a huge American flag to celebrate a very big victory of the British during the war of 1812. Francis Scott Key was inspired at the "broad stripes and stars" of the flag and decided to write a song, that is now known as the national anthem of the United States. The lyrics of the song was an importance of the national symbol and started a tradition throughout generations.
A verse I created for the National Anthem:Gave proof through the night that our flag will always stand.
Oh say does that  bright red flag make all you Britain's mad.
O'er our land that really isn't free but we watch the flag wave.

Great Journey Through Lowell

Friday October 10, 2014
On Friday I went to school and went about my day like every other day of the week(besides
Merrimack River
weekends)
and went to crew practice at the Umass Lowell Bellegarde Boathouse right next to the Merrimack River. The water was very still and the view was beautiful. Although, I didn't get to get on the boat on the water some of my teammates and I had to help get our boats and things ready for our first away race for the season. Some of the things we did was to to derig boats, get all oars, and strap the boats on a trailer. After practice, My friend and I went to my house, ate, and made posters for our friend who is on the football team. As soon as we got ready we headed over to Cawley Stadium where the Varsity Lowell High football team was going against out rivals Central Catholic. It was freezing cold and very crowded. People were shouting and screaming cheering on Lowell High, unfortunately we did lose a very tough game and the score was 44-6 Central Catholic with the win. After a cold night at Cawley Stadium I went home and slept.

Lowell High
It was still extremely dark outside when I woke up at 5'oclock in the morning. I rushed in the shower and cleaned up my room to get to the Boathouse no later than 6'oclock to catch the bus to Worcester Massachusetts for our race. I was vey anxious because I left my house at 5:53 and arrived there at 5:58 where I already saw buses lined up. I had brought my Stitch Pillow Pet and my pink Hello Kitty blanket and as soon as the bus drove off I tried to fall asleep. Driving by the Merrimack River is so beautiful at 6 in the morning where the water is an amazing blue color, crystal clear, and a light fog or mist was going over it. The very pretty scene put me to sleep and I slept so comfy on the bus cuddling with my best friend. I woke up about thirty minutes later to see the town and neighborhoods in Worcester. The houses were huge and there were many building when we got to it seemed like a little downtown. Once we arrived at Worcester's Boathouse it was even more cold than Lowell. The mist or fog over their river was enormous but xo amazing and beautiful. The day was going by fast where we ate and watched other boats as they raced. Eventually, it was time for our race, We quickly had to wet launch, walking in the river to place a boat in, and started doing drills up to the start line. As we come to the start line we see so many other boats waiting. We realized that everyone's races became delayed and we waited for 40 minutes until we started. Once we started it was so fast. We passed a boat and finished a 4000 meter race in 19 minutes and 25 seconds. It was great. Then we drove back to Lowell where we quickly had to unload the trailer and get all the boats and supplies back in the Boathouse. After, I went to Family Dollar with my mom where we picked up wrapping paper and a card for my friends birthday the next day. Once I got home I wrapped all the gifts and completely exhausted I went to bed.

Monday October 13, 2014
So exhausted from the night before I woke up early in the morning to get ready for my friend's football game at Central Catholic in Lawrence Massachusetts. Once we got to the field the score was 0-0. The game went by fairly quickly and again Lowell High lost 28-12 Central Catholic with the win. After the game we drove back into to Lowell to pick up a birthday cake because it was my

LHS Football
friend's birthday, picked him up from Cawley Staduim, where we then went to a Chinese Restaurant all the way in Concord Massachusetts. Along the car ride to Concord, my mom gets into an accident around a rotary with this older woman. The lady accused my mom of not being in the right lane, however my mom was actually in the right lane. The accident was not severe and nobody got hurt. Fortunately, the lady involved in the accident was very sweet and forgiving about the situation. After the policed finished looking and asking questions about the accident we then headed to the restaurant. Once getting to the restaurant my family ate and we sang happy birthday to my friend. After we ate, we then went to Kimball Farm in Westford Massachusetts where we ate icecream. Still ready to do other things, I went to have dinner at my friend's house in Lowell Massachusetts with him and his parents. It was a relaxing night with great food and a great movie called Despicable Me. I then went home so tired and went soundly to sleep.

Map of My Route to School
If I had to keep journal of everything I saw or did everyday I think it would be very challenging. I think it would be challenging because while I am doing something I might not have the time to write everything I saw or did and once I have the time to write things down I would've forgotten what I saw. I would not enjoy writing a detailed journal because I will not see something important or do anything adventurous that I would feel to write down in the journal. Some days will be completely boring because I will just be sitting at home and there is nothing so important that I would do that I should write in the journal.

Constitutional Issues

The debate about Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, a suspect who took part in the Boston Marathon Bombing, is being questioned about his right in receiving a Miranda warning from investigators. Investigators
have a large amount of evidence that they don't really feel the need to get Dzhokhar to confess to committing the crime. There is a debate because Dzhokhar was not questioned about placing bombs in the place of the Boston Marathon and the investigators are using the public safety exemption to not allow Dzhokhar in receiving his Miranda warnings.
Miranda Warnings

Death Penalty
Another topic that has become an issue is whether Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is illegible in receiving the death penalty. The state of Massachusetts does not have the death penalty, however he will be tried in federal court in going through with the death penalty. The federal court did say the death penalty is an option for Dzhokhar because he did get charged for weapon of mass destruction and malicious destruction of property resulting in death. It may be a struggle to get Dzhokhar to get the death penalty because he could be years away from trial.

Guns

Massachusetts is fourth strictest state in the country regarding to gun laws. Dzhokhar and his brother Tameralan were reported to having unregistered guns during their assault of law enforcement members. It has been reported that the brothers had a stockpile of ammunition and that they had fired hundreds of rounds of gun fire at police officers during the Boston Marathon event.

There is also another debate of the brothers of the brother suspects on their immigration. Dzhokhar became a United States citizen one year before the bombing, however his brother's citizenship is being
Immigration
questioned and held off because investigators had found out that he was interviewed by the FBI about homeland security from the Russian government. Senator Chuck Grassely and Senator Marco have two different views on whether the two brother's immigration is a problem for the incident.

Privacy
Another constitution issue regarding to the incident of the Boston Marathon Bombing is that police forces violated Dzhokhar and Tamerlan's privacy. The police forces used thermal-imaging technology in a helicopter to search for Dzhokhar Tsarnaev in a parked boat. The police forces did not have a warrant to search for Dzhokhar violating his right to the Fourth Amendment where no one can search someone's home without a warrant. The investigators also used imaging and footage used from private security camera which is another issue of the suspect's privacy rights.
